Kelantan Trip Day 3 Part Finale Our Kelantan Trip was not officially over when we left Kota Bharu. In fact, we drove down south to Gua Musang where we visited the Shui Yue Gong temple in Kg Pulai to offer prayers. It is said that the deity here is very powerful. The befitting finale for our trip was definitely a sumptuous dinner at the famous Hon Kee in Gua Musang. This is THE restaurant to go for steamed river fish in town and I knew because I had come many times in the past. The old town area was almost deserted as the sun set and we quickly placed order with the lady boss. ◾Steamed Tenggalan - no doubt with the quality of the fish as well as the awesome soy sauce that was both sweet & savoury at the same time but did not overpower the sweetness of the wild Tenggalan that we had. Everyone gave thumbs up! ◾Deep fried spring roll had the five spices taste that I liked. ◾Braised pork trotter was another signature dish here. The pork trotter was braised untuk soft and tender so it didn't take much work to suck the skin, meat and tendon off the bone. The gravy was slightly thick and so good with the white rice. ◾Stir fried petal with anchovies and sambal - I never say no to the stinky beans although I used to loathe it in the past. Now I can't get enough of it. We continued out journey back home after the dinner , concluding our 3D2N trip.

Delicious patin steamed fish and reasonable price. The lady boss is a penangite who was married there 30+ years ago.

Delicious food, not too heavy taste with no MSG. The fish was very fresh. Another signature dish was fish paste with tofu. Very decent pricing. Highly recommended.
